The driving position is very similar to that on a 3-series and has always been one of my favourites with virtually no wheel arch intrusion meaning you are able to sit dead straight with no off-set to the pedals. Of course, in the X3 the higher ride height means you also get a fantastic view of the road and rear passengers will also benefit from the additional sense of space you get in this car. BMW's constant drive for perfection in every detail of their cars. You insert the key and press the straight 6 engine barks into life and settles to a smooth, near silent idle. This 2.5i SPORT model offers smooth power delivery along with the beautiful sound from the straight 6 engine which is the perfect companion for cruising - you cannot help but enjoy every moment behind the wheel. The 0-60 mph sprint takes just 8.6 seconds and the X3 will go on to a maximum 129mph. But, where the X3 really sets itself apart from its rivals is in the way it handles.
