Cut off the stem and place in a bag. Let the miso from ② soak in. Squeeze out the air and leave in the refrigerator for a day. ④ Wipe the sawara dry with a paper towel Spread a thin layer of the miso from ② over the entire surface Wrap in plastic wrap and leave in the refrigerator for 2 days. ⑤ Rinse the miso off the cucumber and sawara, and wipe dry thoroughly with paper towels. ⑥ Coat a frying pan with a thin layer of salad oil, arrange the sawara before turning on the heat, and cook over low to medium heat, being careful not to burn it. *The recommended cooking time is about 8 minutes.
