This is what I got up to this week on my property in rural Victoria, Australia. I begin this week with a quick tour of my some of my newer garden additions. From the Gunnera to the new orchard trees, it's nice to see how they are coming on in such a short period of time. I then turn my attention to the pressing task of getting the property ready for the Fire Danger Period. This week, I continue operation perimeter with phase two; clearing the fallen leaves and twigs from around the house. With a reduced fuel load, the hope is any fire which may come through this season will have a reduced impact because there's less for it to burn. Then, to end, Will gets to spend a lovely morning messing about on the water with his Dad on a homemade boat! My opinions of them are entirely my own and based on my experiences of using them. Unless you're Husqvarna offering me a free electric ride-on lawnmower, I'm not interested in sponsorships, collaborations or gifts. I also posted photographs to: / having.a.small.time but I currently don't because I found it silly. ————————— The Small Time acknowledges and pays respect to the Gunaikurnai Nation's people on whose Land I live and work. I recognise the significant role the past and future Elders play in the existence of The Small Time and the region. I am mindful that, since sovereignty was never ceded, the Land always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
