This is a commentated playthrough of the game Heretic by Raven Software on the Black Plague Possesses Thee Difficulty for the PC, played through the GZDoom sourceport. All of the levels will be played with a wand start, and all the kills and secrets will be demonstrated. In this video, I play the first level of the fifth episode - Ochre Cliffs. In retrospect, this level isn't THAT bad. A bit disorienting with the beginning with all the nitrogolems and fire gargoyles at the start but if you know what you're doing you can do it all in one go. Take note that the waterfall to the only official secret area lowers when you step into the green key area, which I neglected to mention. There are also a few places where you can find the firemace but I can't find the info on them just yet. Watching the footage back though, I saw one in the balcony where the golems and the silver shield were that balcony, but I didn't get it! Just my luck, huh? MODS USED (All of these shouldn't affect gameplay too much, aside from the first one): https://github.com/mmaulwurff/idcleve... (idclever-starter, forces a pistol/wand start in every level - should be compatible with many Doom engine games and mods) https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php... (SpriteShadow, which gives the enemies Build Engine-style shadows) https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php... (Heretic Sprite Fixing Project, fixes some minor issues with sprites) https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php... (Brightmaps plus, adds some lighting to certain textures to make them stand out in peculiar sets of lighting - this version is compatible with the sprite fixes of the above mod) lights.pk3 (included with GZDoom by default, adds some visual flare to maps)
