Join me on my hike up to Emory Peak during our visit to Big Bend National Park (see full video here    • Exploring Big Bend National Park on our Fu...  . This was a 10.5 mile round trip hike with a 3000 ft elevation change. Trailhead starts at Chisos Basin at about 5000 ft., climbing to about 7800 ft at the peak. The hike was pretty strenuous even in nice cool weather, but the views are absolutely worth it.
