New to me, but very old. This guitar is amazing. Only 14 of them in the world, I'm told: the Melophonic Guitar from D&A Roudhloff of London, sometime in the 1840s. I need to get used to it more, and get my head back into 19th-century guitar. I swapped it for my 6c lute only yesterday. The Melophonic had a bigger body than most of not all guitars up to the 1840s, and X-bracing inside. There is debate over who came up with the design first, the Roudhloff's or C. F. Martin, or someone else...around 1843 or possibly slightly earlier. James Westbrook has written an excellent article on this, see "American Lutherie" #121/Spring 2015.
