Ever wonder why your roof downspouts tie into your home plumbing drains? It's an old school plumbing method that is no longer allowed - in most municipalities. They can cause a lot of trouble. Flooding from backed up sewers, and overflowing drain pipes can be caused by these eves trough drain pipes. We encountered a home for sale that the owner proactively had us disconnect these downspouts from their sewer. This way they won't be pressured to reduce the price of the home when it inevitably gets flagged by an inspector.
