Making a natural photo blind can be a wonderful way to observe and photograph animals. This week I used the natural vegetation to help me remain hidden from a species of duck that I'd never been able to photograph before. When I set out to photograph Green-winged Teal, I knew my plan needed to be a little different, so this was my solution. I had such a blast being around these ducks and being able to photograph them along with other waterfowl in the area. Anytime I make these natural blinds, I use vegetation that is already dead and on the ground to supplement the existing vegetation. I think it's very important to respect nature, so I always try my hardest not to destroy any plants or animals each time I make one of these blinds. Please do the same is you consider trying this yourself. After putting in the effort to remain hidden from these beautiful ducks, I was rewarded and got some nice images and video without the animals even knowing I was just a few feet away, what an AMAZING experience!
