If your vehicle is equipped with the Infiniti Theatre package with the Dual Head Restraint DVD System, you can enjoy watching video files from either a DVD or CD providing images and sound from both the front and rear display screens. As a safety feature, the front display will not be available while the vehicle is moving and the remote controller cannot be used in the front seat. To view images in the front seat, the shift selector must be in the P, or Park, position and the parking brake applied. Using compatible auxiliary jacks, you and your passengers can also play video games, camcorders, or portable video players. For optimum diversity, the front display and the rear displays can use independent video and audio sources. Use the remote controller that comes with the system to operate the rear display screens. Headphones can only be used in the rear seat. To set up the wireless headphones, first press the switch located on the headphones to the ON position. Check to make sure you have selected the correct display channel for the left or right. For right-hand side display, the switch should be on the right. Use the volume control to keep the sound at a comfortable level. If there is no sound after four minutes, the headphones will automatically turn-off. In addition, the headphones will turn-off after four hours of continuous use. If the audio is hard to hear or static is audible, check that the correct position on the headphone (Left or Right) is selected. If you hear distortion in the sound, there may be an object between the headphones and the display causing interference or there may be interference from another device. The DVD feature plays much like the ones used in homes. To begin, insert a DVD. When a DVD is inserted, the control options will be displayed on the screen and will automatically turn-off after a short period. To bring up the operation screen again, press the DISC-AUX button. The touch screen will allow you to select control functions while the DVD is playing without the operation screen being shown. To activate the left screen or right screen with the remote controller, move the rear display select switch on the remote controller to the side corresponding to the screen you want to activate. L, left, or R, right. The rear displays can be activated or deactivated individually by pressing the POWER button on the remote controller ON or OFF. Press the SOURCE button to display the media available for playback. To display the operation screen for the source that is being played, press the MENU button. Press the select button to select the items displayed on the rear screen. To confirm the setting for the selected item, press the ENTER button. Press the SETUP button to display the rear seat display settings. The BACK button will take you to the previous screen or cancel the current selection, and this button controls the volume from the vehicle speakers. The rear auxiliary input jacks are located at the rear of the center console. NTSC/PAL compatible devices can be connected to the auxiliary jacks. The images from the connected device can be viewed only on the rear displays. The rear auxiliary jacks are color coded for identification purposes. • Yellow - video input • White - left channel audio input • Red - right channel audio input Before connecting a device to a jack, turn off the power of the portable device. To display the AUX screen, select the left or right rear display using the rear display select switch on the remote controller, then select the AUX mode after pushing the SOURCE button on the remote controller. Please note, the AUX screen cannot be displayed on the front display panel and the remote controller cannot be used for the portable device.
