Parkinsonism is a term used to refer to a set of symptoms typically seen in Parkinson disease but is caused by other disorders. While atypical parkinsonisms have some features of PD they also have additional symptoms not seen in PD. Join us for a conversation with Irene Litvan, MD, who is the director of the Parkinson and Other Movement Disorders Center at UC San Diego Health. Dr. Litvan treats and researches Parkinsonian disorders. Her work focuses on the search for novel therapeutic approaches for better management of atyptical parkinsonism.
