I made a wireless controlled cable camera that can move a DSLR camera. Ideally it works best with a smaller camera like a GoPro in it's current configuration but it does work decent with a DSLR. Thingiverse link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:315... The DSLR camera I used on this has the grip extension housing two batteries with a stablized lens so it is rather heavy. The motor I used in this project did work well but is under powered slightly. Using a brushed DC motor set from a cheap RC car is cost effective but slightly under powered for heavy work loads. It does work well for weekend warrior type projects. I hope this semi build video works well for you, be sure to download and try the design especially if you are into anything RC.
