Today’s video is one I have been so excited to do. It is a video all about the different positions you can be in while you are pushing to give birth to your baby. A lot of times, and this is reinforced fiercely in tv and movies, people are lead to believe that the only position they can push a baby out in is the LITHOTOMY position, or laying flat on your back with your legs in stirrups. But that’s NOT the case there is also: SIDE LYING SUPPORTED KNEELING SQUATTING STANDING ALL FOURS KNEES IN PUSHING KNEES OUT PUSHING THRONE POSITION for LABORING DOWN So there are lots of options and I want to talk to you about why UPRIGHT BIRTHING POSITIONS can be really beneficial in early labor, in active labor but especially when you are giving birth and pushing your baby down and out! Remember that there won’t be one position that will work for everybody, and many times it's best and the most comfortable to cycle through multiple positions in your childbirth experience.
