This talk delves into the complexities, limitations, and possibilities of Guatemala’s detrimental educational system. Julissa Torres, who prefers to be called Juli, is a current 12th grader passionate about history and international relations. She is part of the third generation of Young Scholars Academy at the American School of Guatemala, a Yale Young Global Scholars alumni, a law firm intern, and a volunteer English teacher. Juli loves playing piano, swimming, reading, and learning new things like cooking.
