Hello friends and family! :) Thank you for deciding to join me as I document my worship moments as a way to be obedient to God's calling into ministry- more specifcially worship ministry. wrestling with this calling has been difficult, given that recently I've felt so.. sick, and my voice has not been at its best. I've had to wrestle with a ton of insecurity while recording and posting these videos. But I've had to repeatedly and relentlessly rebuke my flesh and lay down my pride at the feet of the cross and come to the One who calls me. I may not understand why I was called, but I know the One who calls me has equipped me. As I reflect on my heart posture toward worship ministry, I am reminded of Moses in Exodus 4 and how he responds to the call to lead Israel out of Egyptian captivity. When Moses specifically uses His speech impediment as an excuse, the Lord responds by saying: "The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord?" (Exodus 4:11) Instead of condemning or rebuking Moses, God responds with a statement that affirms knowledge of His limitations- that Moses, while being fully known, is still being called so God's majesty may radiantly shine through Him. May my posture be this: to lay down every insecurity and every ounce of pride at the feet of the cross and step in obedience- not to glorify my name but for God's marvelous nature to be seen through me, a mere vessel. For His Grace is sufficient for me, and His power is made perfect in my weakness. So I will boast even more so in my weakness than in my strength (1 Corinthians 12:9) -Andy
