How to Make a Mini Guardians of the Galaxy Jetpack, DIY Action FIgure Prop Today we’re making a miniature Jetpack for the 6 inch Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy Action figures, but you can scale this project to fit other action figure and doll lines too. Drax may not be fond of jetpacks, but sometimes you need to wear one. The measurements to get you started for the beginning pieces of this DIY action figure accessory project are at 6:45 in the video. The materials I’ll be using to make the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 style Jetpack are: -Computer/printer paper -Cardstock paper (or you can use index cards!) -Clear plastic wrap -Rubber bands -Mod podge: http://amzn.to/2kPTo9D (Amazon affiliate link) -Metal ruler: http://amzn.to/2kPHexg (Amazon affiliate link) -Xacto knife: http://amzn.to/2ll2Ezk (Amazon affiliate link) -Paint brush -Black Paint (I’m using Delta Ceramcoat Charcoal) -Silver Paint (I’m using Delta Ceramcoat Gleams Metallic Silver) -(optional) Wooden Dowel Rod (3/16 inch diameter), Don’t have one of these? You can use something else like a straw or rolled up paper. -(optional) Pin Vise for drilling a hole in the Dowel Rod: http://amzn.to/2qVP1sL (Amazon affiliate link) and a drill bit to use with the pin vise. I’m not sure what size drill bit mine is. -1 mm magnets (I used 2 magnets and then split a washer in half to glue on the back of the pack so I wouldn’t have to use 4 magnets): http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-532... (Ebay Affiliate Link) You can add flames to the jetpack action figure prop by making the ‘flames’ from my earlier muzzle flash project and attaching them to the jetpack with a bit of poster wall mounting putty. Update 6/5: I've been told by a kind viewer that the official name for the Guardian's Jetpacks is Aero Rigs (or Aerorigs).
