In this video I show you what a typical night dive at La Jolla shores looks like. Some of the local clubs organize an evening dive once or twice a week. Same dive during the day: • Diving The Main Wall at La Jolla Shor... Max Depth: 80' Average Depth: 45' Dive Length: 60 min Min Temp: 50F I call this the main wall but others will call it the East Wall or they'll just call it the Vallecitos Point dive. My Lights: I use two of these budget video lights that run about $100 each and include a charger. Although I've seen mixed reviews on Amazon I decided to try them because I was able to get 2 for under $200 where higher quality lights would have run me closer to $500 each. After 50 dives they've worked well for me. My only issue was that the ball mount kept coming loose so I had to use some permanent loctite on it which fixed the problem. I can't say how long they'll last but I can get 5 of them for the price of other lights I was looking at. If one of them dies I'll buy another. https://amzn.to/2SgyfZia Check out divebums.com for more info on this and other dives. Conditions can change from hour to hour and whats safe at the beginning of your dive may be hazardous when you finish. Talk to lifeguards, use other resources and most importantly, dive within your level of training and your skills/abilities. Just because a dive looks easy doesn't mean it is, or that its even safe. People have lost their lives diving here so make sure diving within your limits. 0:00 Dive Overview 1:19 Start Of Dive 9:08 Surface
