Early this morning both SE35 & SE36 were flapping and wingercising. SE35 had its eye on Lady that was perched on another branch. SE35 flew off the nest at 06:32am towards her but didn't make it & flapped to the ground. It was an intentional flight (fledge) - but SE35 just didn't make it far enough. We are waiting on EagleCam for confirmation! SE35 was seen on the ground from the Twitch cam and moved around hoping up on low lying branches. Currawongs were swooping SE35 who defended itself bravely. SE35 was seen flying low to the ground and then out of cam view. You can see this flight beginning at 12:00 timestamp watch the lower right corner of the screen. SE36 flapped its wings as soon as SE35 took flight! Update from Ranger Judy: "35 is safe on the ground where it is, WIRES (Wildlife Rescue Service) are aware but there is no need for an immediate rescue: our team are ready if needed; 35 appears unhurt; for the moment, wait and watch.
