Evergreen’s Terminal #7 at Kaohsiung Port was built jointly by Taiwan International Ports Corporation and Evergreen Marine Corp. It is the first highly automated container terminal in Taiwan. Covering an area of 149 hectares and has a quay length of 2,415 meters, it can simultaneously accommodate 4 mega container ships (up to and including the world's largest at 24,000 TEU), and 2 feeder vessels. Its annual throughput is expected to reach 6.5 million TEU. Terminal #7 is an automated smart container center. It is the flagship of Evergreen Marine's global green terminal operations. Equipped with 60 fully automated gantry cranes and 24 quay cranes, 19 of which are the first remote-controlled quay cranes of their type in Taiwan. It also boasts 24 intelligent customs clearance lanes for container trucks to be processed more swiftly.
