In the end, Jacob was charged harvesting stone crabs during a closed season, possession of an undersized mangrove snapper, and 3 counts of possession out of season crawfish. Through a negotiated plea deal, he pled to no contest to possession of out of season stone crab. He was sentenced to 6 months of probation with the possibility of early termination. To qualify for early termination, he was required to take a Florida Fish and Wildlife regulations course and pay $308 in costs and fees.
