We’re back — rivers are frozen and we’re breaking the snowmachines out for our first winter run to the cabin. Snow is scarce this year, and the river ice was only just barely frozen enough to make it in. Once we made it in, it was time to feed the fires and bring the place back to life. We got the cabin warmed up, fired up the hot tub and sauna, hauled out a couple old Honda Big Reds, did some trail maintenance, and cut firewood for the winter ahead. There’s nothing like settling in for a quiet weekend deep in Alaska’s backcountry. We also came up with a one-of-a-kind way to do our very first giveaway drawing, so make sure you stick around for that.
