#bawana #Delhicrime #bawanaindustrialArea #DCIIDC #delhipolice The Bawana Industrial Area in outer Delhi was jolted by a burst of gunfire on Monday afternoon, once again spotlighting the rising crime graph in the national capital. In a shocking daylight attack, unidentified assailants shot dead a 35-year-old factory owner in DSIIDC Sector-4 and fled the scene, leaving behind panic and fear among workers and industrialists in the area. The deceased has been identified as Vaibhav Gandhi (35), a resident of the area and the operator of Factory No. 133 in the Bawana industrial cluster. According to preliminary information, the attackers targeted him with multiple rounds of gunfire near Factory Nos. J-133 and J-21. Before anyone could react, Vaibhav collapsed on the spot, bleeding profusely, while the assailants escaped. Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred around noon when the industrial area was bustling with routine activity. The sudden sound of gunshots triggered chaos, forcing workers to rush inside factories and shutter operations. Fear and confusion gripped the entire stretch within minutes. Police officials stated that at around 12:51 pm, they received information from MV Hospital in Pooth Khurd that Vaibhav Gandhi, son of Surender Gandhi, had been brought in with multiple gunshot injuries. Doctors examined him and declared him brought dead. Soon after, a police team from Bawana Police Station reached both the hospital and the crime scene to initiate legal proceedings. Given the gravity of the crime, forensic experts from Rohini and the mobile crime team were called to the spot. The teams conducted a meticulous inspection and collected physical evidence, including bullet casings. Police are also scanning CCTV footage installed in nearby factories to identify the attackers and trace their escape route. Initial findings suggest that the murder was carried out in a well-planned manner. However, it remains unclear whether the motive was personal enmity, a business dispute, or linked to any criminal rivalry. Investigators are questioning associates, employees, and family members to establish possible motives. The incident has reignited concerns over security in Delhi’s industrial zones. Local factory owners expressed deep anxiety, stating that cases of threats, extortion, and violent crimes have been increasing steadily. Many questioned how criminals could execute such a brutal killing in a crowded industrial area during broad daylight without fear of the law. The Bawana Police have registered a case under Section 103(1), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita along with relevant provisions of the Arms Act. Multiple police teams and special operations units have been deployed to track down the accused, and raids are underway at suspected hideouts. This killing is not just another crime statistic—it reflects the alarming deterioration of law and order in the capital. Until swift arrests and strict action follow, fear will continue to shadow Delhi’s streets and industrial corridors, raising serious questions about public safety and effective policing.
