Tobermory Ontario is an absolute gem for summer vacations, day trips or as a stopover on a road trip. This charming lakeside town, sits at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Southern Ontario. It is renowned for the crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay, that are stunning shades of blue and turquoise and can't help but remind us of the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. There is a lot to do in and around this small town and today we are bringing you along as we discover Tobermory. We share all of the sights and what we discovered as the TOP 10 THINGS you must do when you visit Tobermory! To make our roadtrip stop even more exciting, we arrived by ferry into Tobermory, coming from Manitoulin Island. We show you a little bit of our ferry journey on the Chi-Cheemaun (which means "Big Canoe" in Ojibwe) across Georgian Bay. For nature lovers, it is a paradise of interesting flora and fauna and of course geological wonders! For water lovers, there are numerous water activities from boat cruises to diving to kayaking and fishing. There are two National Parks nearby, including the Fathom Five National Marine Park, which protects the historic shipwrecks and lighthouses of the area as well as conserving the freshwater ecosystem of the area.
