One big take away is when you build to the PASSIVE HOUSE STANDARD the tightness of the home is very important when putting in a kitchen range hood. It's necessary to not disrupt the air balance by only pulling air from the inside of the house. Having a makeup air system is vital so that you're pulling the same CFM's inside as the kitchen range hood is pushing out. This FAN TECH system is really cool but the only draw back is that currently it does not work with other range hoods. It's an all in package deal to work properly.
