Das knapp zweistündige Welttheater sorgt im Publikum für Melancholie, Heiterkeit und Begeisterung. The choral work is in two acts and the libretto revolves around several major themes. The framework is formed by the great questions of human existence, including the view of time and finiteness. Fun-loving, often humorous aspects of these themes alternate with more gloomy, almost apocalyptic, intellectual games. Was sollen wir sagen zum heutigen Tag? Ich dächte nur: Ergo bibamus. Er ist nun einmal von besonderem Schlag, drum immer aufs neue: Bibamus. Er führet die Freude durchs offene Tor, es glänzen die Wolken, es teilt sich der Flor, da leuchtet ein Bildchen, ein göttliches, vor; wir klingen und singen: Bibamus. 10 THATS WHY ERGO BIBAMUS!
