Key-lock couplings are flexible joints similar to REKA with an added locking mechanism giving it additional strength. After sliding the male pipe branch in to the key-lock coupling, a Teflon O-ring enters coupling through the mounted groove on the coupling and seals around the pipe. Although key-lock joint is not as completely rigid as glued joint, it offers high resistance to axial stresses. These kinds of joints are mostly used to connect GRP pipes to each other outside the trench and then lay the pipes in the trench.
