It's time to take out the Christmas decorations! With a little help from Mochi, we decorate the living room. I bake Norwegian Christmas cookies and go to see the waterfall in the center of Oslo. "BRUNE PINNER" CHRISTMAS COOKIES - RECIPE Butter 200 grams (room temperature) Sugar 200 grams 1 egg yolk 1 table spoon light syrup 1/2 tea spoon cinnamon 1 tea spoon vanilla sugar / or a few drops of vanilla essence 1 tea spoon baking baking soda Flour 300 grams Icing: Chocolate, granulated sugar, crushed almonds 1. Mix the butter with sugar, and add the egg yolk, syrup. 2. Add the remaining dry ingredients, but leave some of the flour. (The mixture should not be too dry and hard) 3. Flatten the dough into a square -like shape and cut into 8 parts. Rest in the fridge for 30 minutes 4. Roll or shape the parts into sausages 5. Flatten them with your hand on a baking tray. Don't worry if they don't look perfect. This is a very forgiving dough. It will look nice in the end! 6. Put egg wash on, and drizzle with granulated sugar and crushed almonds 7. Set the oven to 175 Celsius (Upper and lower heat on grill mode). Put the tray in on the upper half of the oven. Bake for 12-14 minutes 8. Cut diagonally when still warm 9. When the cookies are dry you can dip them in chocolate if you want. This is not part of the traditional recipe, so any traditional grannies out there, please don't yell at me! Haha!
