It’s fair to say the TL2 is a bit like owning a Saab — a little different Quirky, not for everyone, but oddly lovable. I have owned mine for a few years now and, paired with the 18mm Elmarit, it makes a great walk-around camera that delivers, in my opinion, lovely results. Yes, it’s slow to focus, and it can be a bit tricky to dial in at times, but I tend to shoot in Aperture Priority and mostly just adjust the exposure compensation. I usually shoot in Leica’s Vivid or High Contrast modes, then do minor edits in Lightroom — straightening, cropping, that sort of thing. It’s a beautiful camera and good value if you’re looking for something a bit different. I normally shoot with a Fuji X100T or X-H1, but on a recent trip to London I decided to slow down, people-watch, and take the TL2 instead. This is just my opinion, and more of a visual reference if you’re ever tempted to dip your toes into the expensive Leica pond. Hope you like the images and agree the quality still holds up well for a 9-year-old camera. Go well.
