Crepes or pancakes What's the difference G'day In this video I will give you the recipe for Crepes and pancakes and show you the difference between them Pancakes or Crepes which one is better in my opinion both are equally good I am an Australian Chef also Mum of three. I would like to show people how to cook with everyday ingredients that they have in their fridge or Pantry. Today I am showing how to make Crepes and Pancakes and the difference between them. Ingredients Crepes -1 Cup Plain Flour -11/4 Cup Milk -2 Eggs -1 Tablespoon melted butter Method Whisk together the flour eggs and milk. Add the melted butter and combine it also. Heat a pan spray with canola oil or use melted butter . Pour in a small amount of mixture until is covers the bottom of the pan while having the pan on a angle to evenly spread the mixture . Cook until the mixture seems dry then flip over and cook for a further 20 seconds. Ingredients for Pancakes -2 Cups Self Raising Flour -1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder -1/3 Cup sugar -Dash of Vanilla extract -30 Grams melted Butter Method Combine all dry ingredients then add the eggs milk and Vanilla. Whisk together until combined being careful not to over work the flour. Have your pan on a medium heat add melted butter or spray oil then add a ladle full of pancake mixture. Wait until bubbles form before turning it over continue to cook as many as you want This is the difference between the Crepes and pancakes. The crepes are thin and take very little time to cook and are made with plain flour. The pancakes are thicker and slower to cook and are made with an raising agent the self raising flour and baking powder..
