DIY for Transmission drain and fill on 2022-2026 Toyota Tundra or Toyota Sequoia. Chapters: 0:00 - Intro 1:31 - Drain the Transmission Pan 3:26 - Pin Open the Thermostat 4:17 - Drain Remaining Transmission Pan Fluid 6:31 - Fill the Transmission Pan with Funnel and Tubing 8:23 - Close up the Transmission Fill Hole 9:24 - Temperature Check Mode Procedure 12:47 - Close up and Torque Transmission Pan Bolts 13:58 - Old vs New Fluid Inspection 14:14 - Closing Comments I again got my fluid Toyota ATF WS from Gateway Toyota! https://autoparts.gatewaytoyota.com/ I also used the standard Toyota oil drain plug crush washer (With blue liner on both sides) as my washer for the drain/check plug. Needed 5 quarts of ATF for the whole process. Tip for entering temp check mode 1. Start Engine 2. Within 60 seconds of starting engine shift to R - N - D - back to P holding each for 3 seconds 3. Quickly shift back down to D 4. Shift between D - N quickly for 12 seconds until the D on display dash begins blinking. 5. D on dash display will blink and go away 6. Shift back to Park and let truck idle. 7. Keep truck running in Park until D shows back up on the display 8. With truck running and level and D on display go back under truck and remove check valve. 9. Let drain until a slow trickle 10. Re install check bolt with washer and torque to spec. Fill Plug Torque: 30 Ft/lbs Drain Plug/Check Plug: 15 Ft/lbs This way uses no special tools, no pump, and no scan tool! Definitely much easier than trying to pump 5 quarts through the fill hole laying under the truck. I highly recommend using the tubing and a funnel to gravity fill the fluid! This should be the same procedure for the Toyota Sequoia with the 3.4l! The content on iTorqueDIY is for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
