Another video of my dads from 2003 we see the Queen arriving at Hereford railway station along with Prince Phillip with the train hauled by two Class 47 Diesel Locomotives. Taken from BBC news website; The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh visited a number of locations across Herefordshire as part of an official visit to the county. The trip was to allow Her Majesty to meet local people effected by the Foot and Mouth crisis. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived at Hereford station on board the Royal train just after ten o'clock on 11th July 2003 They visited a child-care centre in the centre of Hereford in the morning. The Duke of Edinburgh went to visit the Herefordshire cider makers Westons. A special lunch was organised at the Mynde at Much Dewchurch to allow the Queen and Prince Philip to meet representatives of the farming community who were hit hardest by the foot and mouth crisis.
