This product acts like a glass shield around your tesla and it lasts up to 3 years or with a second coat up to 4 years. What's even better about the Gyeon Mohs coating is the easy application. Many products are difficult to apply but this stuff just wipes on and then wipes off with a microfiber towel. One single layer coating outperforms everything on the market. Looking at the contents of the box you'll notice it comes with a microfiber applicator, the instructions on how to apply this and of course the Mohs product itself. Preparation is very important before applying the Mohs product. You're gonna want to thoroughly degrease and decontaminate your tesla with warm dish washing soap like I did along with using Gyeon's prep cleaning spray. Using a few high quality microfiber towels, spray each panel down and wipe the surface clean while folding the towel often to prevent scratching. I took it a step further and used Gyeon’s paint correction polishing over the entire car to remove any small scratches and swirl marks. The better you have the car prepped the better chance Mohs ceramic coat has at adhering to your tesla’s paint. You may need to also look into using a clay bar to really deepen the cleaning process. Again the preparation is very… very important, it's mandatory for this Mohs product to work correctly. After this process is complete, the easy part is applying it. If you do not have a garage and are applying this outside, respect these guidelines. Do not apply when there is a high risk of rain in the next 24 hours. Ensure your car is cool to the touch and it is out of direct sunlight. This is very important- do not apply in direct sunlight. Shake the bottle before first use and then apply a liberal amount of product onto the applicator. Gloves and a well ventilated area is recommended. Apply a thick layer, leveling the coating well in a cross pattern. Doing one panel at a time is recommended especially when applying at high temperatures or humidity. I was applying this early in the morning before the high temperatures arrived. The higher the temperature, the faster the product will cure. In my case I had to immediately wipe it off with a microfiber towel. As soon as you see the product sweat on the panel, that's your indication to wipe off the product. Ensure there is plenty of lighting to see if you have missed a spot or to remove any smudges. Take you time doing one panel at a time and using several microfiber towels- rotating them out after use, on a couple panels. If you’d like to apply two coats for maximum durability, wait 1 hour after your first application. I applied this on all the panels including my headlights and taillights. I used painters tape to protect my matte carbon fiber spoiler from the Mohs application. After my second layer was applied, the instructions state to wait 12 hours before driving your car. Leave it in a dry place that will not be exposed to rain. After this period has lapsed, we can then drive your tesla. It’s important to not wash your car with any strong detergents for the first 14 days to allow the ceramic coat to cure. I purposely left this one section of my tesla bare just to show you the difference of water beading off the car. The mohs EVO just does an incredible job at wicking the water off the panel. It really is like self cleaning with the high gloss and slickness properties. If you take your time applying this you'll be amazed at how it turns out.
