Are you a side sleeper and you wake with low back pain, neck pain or headaches? If your sleep position isn't helping you be the best version of you then chances are it's holding you back. At close to 30% of your life, sleep is a great opportunity to make change that can impact far more than your physical health and pain. Side sleeping is a great way to sleep and so is your back. With that, I've learned that a lot of people have a side sleeping posture that is similar to their sitting posture and it isn't advantageous to their health or life. Others tend to have a pseudo-side or pseudo-stomach sleeping posture and call it side sleeping. Others still curl up in a fetal position and pull on both ends of their spine and spinal cord while they sleep. Many also raise their elbow above their shoulder or crank a leg/hip/knee up and over therefore torqueing and twisting their spine while they sleep. The great thing is that all of these things are easily changed and can adapted to being coherent with living a fuller life! Enjoy.
