Organized by the UP State Chapter of #PHDCCI with the support of the Ministry of #MSME, Government of India, Invest UP, and #ODOPUttarPradesh, the expo featured a conclave on the theme "Capital Protection and Wealth Creation," where experts shared their insights. Delicious Chole Bhature and Kulhad Pizza Visitors to the expo enjoyed shopping alongside delectable cuisines. From litti chokha to kulhad pizza, Amritsari chole bhature, and non-veg dishes, attendees relished a variety of food items. Tandoori chai also emerged as a crowd favorite. Moreover, the famous Punjabi dish of sarson ka saag and makki ki roti drew significant enthusiasm among attendees. The Importance of Financial Literacy A panel discussion on "Capital Protection and Wealth Creation" was held at the expo, during which #SEBI Executive Director Mr. Manoj Kumar stated that the event organized by UPITEX demonstrates how PHDCCI is striving to promote entrepreneurs. He added, “We are not only custodians of your wealth but also help in wealth creation. SEBI aims to connect youth with industries through SMEs. Judging by the success of this event, I can say that this expo will achieve even greater milestones in the future.” Mr. Debankur Majumdar, Vice President #NationalStockExchange of India Limited, elaborated on the NSE, stock markets, and investment opportunities. He explained how mutual funds and the stock market work and advised investing only through registered brokers to avoid fraud. He warned against falling for schemes promising fixed returns on WhatsApp. Senior Member of the Uttar Pradesh State Chapter, PHDCCI, and President of the Lucknow CA Tax Practitioner Association, CA Reena Bhargava, highlighted the significant contribution of India’s young workforce to the country’s digital ecosystem. She encouraged youth to explore investment opportunities, reassuring them that institutions like SEBI are in place to protect their interests. Mr. Navin Kanaujia, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, #EPFOLucknow shared insights on EPFO and its history, emphasizing how it acts as a social security tool. He narrated an interesting story from South India about a temple employee urging his colleagues to join the PF department as they were unable to save from their salaries. Mr. Vineet Nahata, Chair - Task Force, Co-operatives, PHDCCI, emphasized that expos like these aim to provide financial information to businesses and help entrepreneurs find the right investors.
