Today on our 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, you're going to be taking a look at . I'm going to show you how to install the T-One vehicle wiring harness support full flat trailer connector. Part number 1-1-8-4-6-7.this is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. This is going to give us all the proper lighting functions to safely tow our trailer. So it's going to give you both turn signals, running lights, brake lights, and our ground. It's also going to come with an attached dust cap to keep any dirt or debris from getting onto our connections. It's going to provide you with 2.1 amps per circuit for your stop and turn signals, and 5.6 amps per circuit for your tail lights. As far as the insulation goes, this wiring is very simple. It's one single plug in the back of the vehicle. What's nice about these wiring harnesses, or about this one, is that it's going to have a converter box. Now a converter box is going to protect your factory wiring from any back feed from your trailer, if a trailer has a wiring issue. Now that we've gone over some of the features, let me show you how to get it installed.First thing we've got to do to start our installation, we need to get into our hatch, we need to remove our floor coverings. Next, we're going to take the trim panel tool ... I have a plastic one here. We're going to have some push-pin fasteners on this foam; we need to remove this foam. Pull out the fasteners from the foam, like that. The plug that we need to access is going to be back in this area somewhere. I have not actually worked on a Subaru where the plug is down where they say it is. Normally I've had to pull this panel out and reach back, because it's normally up in here somewhere. Our customer's going to want our wiring, to be routed outside the vehicle, even though this wiring kit is stored inside the car, so I'm going to go ahead and remove this panel, or pull it out enough so I can see if I have a rubber grommet over on this side, that I can route my wire through. We're going to have two cargo tie-downs here. These are going to use Phillip head screwdrivers, we're going to have a Phillips head screw here, and we're probably going to have an 8 to 10 millimeter bolt inside your cargo tie-down here. We're also going to be removing our threshold, because it goes over the top of our side panel here. We're going to have a couple of push-pin fasteners on this inside here. Go ahead and pull those. I'm going to set it like that. Now, we've determined that on the 2019 that, where the wiring is supposed to be, up here, they actually moved it to right back here to the back of the vehicle, which is convenient, because you wouldn't have to take out this panel, or loosen it to get up in there. Now, because our customer is wanting this routed outside, we have a grommet right here, and that's the only grommet on this side that we can get out of. If we plug it in here, and stretch it over there, we're going to have to bring our wire outside and back this way again. We're not going to have enough to do that, so what I'm going to do is, go ahead and pull this panel out, and where this wire connector is attached with these little fasteners, there's going to be one here, and another one back here. I'm actually going to pull those off and get this wire to stretch back over here, unmount my box and plug it in back here, and then I can run it straight down to that grommet. Just like that. This grommet here, this does not actually go outside the vehicle, this is for the rear suspension, so . I'll go ahead and plug our wiring harness in. I'm going to pull this grommet out. What I'm going to do is cut a slice in it. Just like that. Go ahead and drop your wire down, and that slice is actually for your wire. So what we're going to do, we're going to take this plug, we're going to shove it in behind our panel like this, and this guy, we're actually going to need it . they don't give us double sided tape, so we're going to take the zip-tie that comes in your kit, we're going to run it though that hole right on the top. I'm going to zip-tie it right to this wire here. And you see how I have it I have the rounded side down. It doesn't really matter, but this kind of fits in to this engine, the way they have the body molded there. Put that back into place, this side panel back in place, make sure all of our other panels go in.Once we jet it to where our panels go b
