Heritage 4 is a similarity to H1. Made about the same time, except the differences are exchanging the pullman green for black, and a larger orange band. Of course, some H1's use black as well, but have a different font of BNSF. While H4 has the new and improved logo you'd see on H3 locomotives. Most people say that it was designed to be a "yard" schematic, but it actually depends on some units, and is sometimes vice-versa as far as H4 or H1 switching a yard or industry. Thus, making H4 a separate scheme from the other 3 official schematics. You can find this paint scheme on a wide variety of locomotives except Dash 9's and GEVO's. Commonly seen H4 units around the Pacific Northwest are SD75M/I's and most GP25/28/30/38/39/40/50/60 units with the occasional SD40-2/38. These H4 units periodically go on locals all over the US. If you're lucky to not see one, congrats! I personally enjoy this paint scheme; it gives a streamlined feel like Great Northern and Northern Pacific. Each unit flows with the other and then to the rest of the train. H2, H3 and H1 don't give that sort of vibe.
