✅People Who Built Uganda ✔️𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗴𝗶 𝗔𝗸𝗲𝗿𝗮 - 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗨𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 He was Acholi`s veteran tobacco farmer who was responsible for commercializing farming in Northern Uganda. He started tobacco farming at his Lakwatomer farm in the then Gulu district now Omoro after resigning from the education sector in 1945. By 1959 his farm produced and supplied over 30% of Tobacco to the regional markets and employed over 700 workers from the East African region including Zaire now DR Congo and Sudan. He was the first Chairperson of the Great Acholi district from 1958 to 1964. In 1968 he served as the first General Secretary of the Greater Acholi District.
