But Pharaoh’s heart remained hard. Even when he saw suffering, he refused to obey God. Finally, God announced the last and most serious plague—the death of the firstborn. God gave His people a way to be saved. Each family was to sacrifice a lamb and put its blood on the doorposts of their homes. When God saw the blood, judgment “passed over” that house. This was not because the people were better, but because they trusted God’s word. The Passover points us to Jesus. Just as the lamb died so the Israelites could live, Jesus gave His life so sinners could be saved. The Bible tells us that Christ is our Passover Lamb. Salvation comes not by our works, but by trusting in the blood God has provided. 📖 Bible Readings: Exodus 12 (Exodus 7:3–5, Exodus 12:1–13, Exodus 12:21–28, Isaiah 53:7, John 1:29, 1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:18–19) 👨🏻💻 Teachings: 1. Faith in God’s Word is crucial for salvation. 2. The Passover Lamb foreshadows Jesus Christ. 3. Believers are covered by the blood of Christ. 💪🏼 Applications: How can we be saved? 1. Repent and recognize that we are slaves to sin who need a Savior. 2. Believe in Christ, our Passover Lamb, who has cleansed us from sin. 3. Surrender our lives to King Jesus and commit to follow God. 🎙 Discussion: Why does the Bible teach that there is no other way to be saved except through Jesus alone? 🤿 Dive Deeper: How were believers in the Old Testament saved through Jesus, the true Passover Lamb? 🙏🏼 Prayer: Father God, when I read about the Passover, I see both Your holiness and Your mercy. You see sin clearly, and You do not ignore it. Yet You also make a way to save. Thank You for giving Your Son as the true Passover Lamb. I know I cannot save myself, and that humbles me. Help me trust fully in what Jesus has done for me. Teach me to obey Your Word and rest in Your grace every day. I want my life to show gratitude for such great love.
