Welcome to the first stop on our road-trip. In BVRC-179 | Epic UK to Tenerife Road Trip, the first link in our adventure to journey across Spain, we introduce the start of a remarkable travel series tracing our route from the United Kingdom through mainland Spain to the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Beginning in Leighton Buzzard, traveling to Central London, Royal Windsor and Devon and Exeter, we collect our recently purchased car with Spanish plates and drive south to Plymouth to embark on the ferry to Santander. Our journey across Spain continues through the little village of Colombes, which features the museum of the emigrant, León, a classic northern Spanish city with all the culinary delights that offers, Trujillo, twinned with the town of the same name in Venezuela where Simon Bolivar declared war against Spaniards and Canarias on 15th June 1813, Medellin an ancient Roman town with spectacular ruins to explore and the birthplace of Hernandez Cortez the South American explorer. A pit stop outside Madrid at the renowned El Escorial allows time for a lunch with old friends. Along the way, we explore historic towns, experience regional cuisine, and capture the essence of Spain’s cultural and natural beauty. The road trip concludes in Sevilla, where we say goodbye to Elliot and Toby continues on to Puerto de Santa María, famous for its seafood delights. A day trip to Gibraltar provides another opportunity to see old friends. Finally, the trip to Huelva where we boarded the final ferry to Santa Cruz de Tenerife — returning home to Rancho Buenavista. From here on in we’ll be making some major adjustments to the Club House infrastructure to see if we can open as soon as possible to the General Public. - 𝐌𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐬 𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫: Building and restoring an old stone farmhouse over 150 years old, repairing woodwork, clearing brambles and giant weeds from farmland, planting and growing vegetables, using my tractor and flail mower, building dry stone walls, and sharing life on the farm with cats, including Visto the Cat. My “Piva Trailer” (my Harley Davidson) also features in the farm work. 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Join our journey at Buenavista Rural Club, a 48-hectare off-grid farm in Tenerife. The 150-year-old farmhouse has been abandoned for over 50 years, with no electricity, water, or sanitation, and very dangerous roofs. We are transforming this place into a hub where visitors of all ages can explore, walk, learn about renewable energy, grow crops, care for animals, and experience rural life. Weekly Reality TV-style updates share our progress, farm life, and adventures on this YouTube channel. ➡️ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐮𝐬 & 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬: ⤵️ ✅ / buenavista_rural_club ✅ / buenavistaruralclub ✅ https://www.buenavistarural.com/ ✅ https://buenavistahosting.com/ ✅ https://www.buenavistarentals.es/ ✅ info@buenavistarural.com ➡️𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐕𝐑𝐂 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐬: ⤵️ 🎬 BVRC172 - BVRC172 the Calm before the Summer in Tenerife Restoring our 150 year old farm house 🎬 BVRC173 - BVRC 173 The Great Coffee Disaster 🎬 BVRC174 - BVRC174 Drone Crash and Burn - Five Part weekly Vlog of Life on Off grid farm in Tenerife 🎬 BVRC175 - BVRC175 Family Visit 🎬 BVRC176 - • BVRC176 The Bitter Pill - Looking forward ... 🎬 BVRC177 - BVRC177 No se Jose - Restoring a 150 y/o farm in Tenerife Celebrating hard work with fun times The Buenavista Rural Club will be one of the top things to do in Tenerife, for all ages, but especially for kids. Monte de las Aguas means the mountain of the waters. The weather in this part of the island can be very hot during the day and cool at night. The area enjoys a micro climate that can change rapidly from dry to wet and from hot to cold.
