Catholic Morning Prayer – February 11, 2026 Memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes Welcome to the Catholic Morning Prayer for February 11, 2026. Today the Church lovingly remembers Our Lady of Lourdes, who appeared to Saint Bernadette and reminded the world of the power of humility, prayer, and trust in God’s mercy. Through Mary’s gentle presence, countless souls have found healing—of body, mind, and spirit. In the First Reading (1 Kings 10:1–10), the Queen of Sheba journeys far to encounter the wisdom God granted to King Solomon. Recognizing that this wisdom comes from the Lord, she responds with wonder, humility, and praise. Her journey teaches us that a sincere search for truth always leads us closer to God. In the Gospel (Mark 7:14–23), Jesus teaches that true purity does not come merely from outward observances, but from the heart. It is from within that intentions and actions flow. The Lord calls us to interior conversion—a heart purified by grace, truth, and love. On this Memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes, these readings take on deeper meaning. Mary appeared not with power or spectacle, but with simplicity and a call to repentance and prayer. The waters of Lourdes are signs of God’s mercy, yet the deeper healing Mary desires is the purification of the soul. Like the Queen of Sheba, we are invited to seek God sincerely. Like the crowds who listened to Jesus, we are called to allow God to cleanse our hearts.
