Welcome to my Special Vehicle Guide for GTA IV! This Video will show you how to obtain the Lustered/EC (Exclusive Color) Dark Red Flatbed from "Rigged to Blow" with passing the Mission. https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Carcols.d... - This link will bring you to the "Carcols.dat" file and help to determine which colors are special and why. It's interchangeable across GTA IV, TLaD, and TBoGT and the same rules apply for each game. This file was heavily used to help find out all the Special Vehicles in the game and determine exactly why they are special. https://gtaforums.com/topic/862242-gt... - This link will bring you to where it all began. Documentation of every single Special Vehicle GTA IV had to offer and then after, I went through the game and obtained all the Special Vehicles for my Youtube Guide and here we are today. Lustered/EC Dark Red Flatbed: Cabernet Red Poly - 34 Cabernet Red Poly - 34 Possible Lusters (Silver Stone Poly, Astra Silver Poly, Graceful Red Mica, Med. Cabernet Solid, Agate Green, Petrol Blue Green Poly, Green, Nautical Blue Poly, Spinnaker Blue Solid, and Nassau Blue Poly) Black - 0 Flatbed - 1,1,8, 6,6,8, 11,11,12, 12,12,12, 31,31,31, 40,40,40, 52,53,53, 54,54,54, 56,56,56, 70,70,70, 73,73,73, 77,77,76 ***The Method I show in the Video will ONLY work for PS3 and PC players! It will NOT work on Xbox360 because there is no way to quickly teleport away from the Parking Space after pushing the Wreck of the Flatbed into it like you can on PS3 by using the SIXAXIS Teleport or PC by using the Video Editor Teleport. A Luster is typically a Vehicle's 3rd Color in the HD Era and it sits on top of the Base Color. You can see such Luster when I move the camera around. MOST Body Colors and/or Lusters will not be special alone, but in combination with each other they will be special and one of a kind! Note that depending on the Base/Body Color of the Vehicle as well as the time of day and weather in-game will make all the difference whether the Luster is going to be very visible or not. When dealing with Lustered Vehicles, you will have some choices. ALL of the Flatbed's depicted in the Thumbnail are special, but it will depend on the player's tastes in Colors and which Colors appeal to them the most as to which Luster they will choose in the end. Every time you begin a Mission and come into contact with the Lustered Vehicle, you will see X Luster spawn. When you reload your Save, and try the Mission again and again, the Luster will change! You basically want to do this until the Luster of choice is the most appealing to you and then obtain it! The only way you will know the EXACT Color Name of the Luster you acquired is by loading your Save up in a Save Editor and viewing the Garage Tab and checking the Colors and Lusters of your Vehicle. You can store 10 Special Vehicles in the 5 Parking Spaces that GTA IV has to offer. Each Parking Space saves 2 Special Vehicles each. Obtaining the Lustered/EC DF8-90 together with the Lustered/EC Flatbed and passing the Mission at the same time is possible, obviously, but I didn't care to take the time to park the DF8-90 in a Parking Space for this Video. If you want both at the same time, park the DF8-90 in the Parking Space, then go to the Flatbed and do what you see in the Video. As you can see, if you PASS this Mission and obtain the Lustered/EC Flatbed, it's automatically NOT GOING TO HAVE the back part of it like it WOULD HAVE if you FAIL the Mission and obtain it. If you ask me, it looks so much better with the back end to it, rather than without it. While you can still see a Luster, it's only on the front end of the Flatbed rather than all the way throughout it. You really should have a Fire Truck at the Bohan Safehouse before you begin rather than stealing the Fire Truck that is scripted to spawn at the very end of the Mission because that will give you a Wanted Level. While the Video Editor PC Method will work even with a Wanted Level, the SIXAXIS PS3 Method will NOT work with a Wanted Level! It would appear that parking the Flatbed in the Garage the normal way, without reversing into it like I shown in the Video, can cause it to vanish after the fact! This is why I reverse it into the Garage. When I get into the Fire Truck at the Bohan Parking Space, you will see me reverse it a bit, before driving it forward. This is because of the scripted fire surrounding the place. If you go back there too early and are too close to the Garage, the fires will never go out, so this is why getting far enough away from the area is mandatory.
