Hosting a game is easy. Joining one? That's where the headaches start. Today we build a Server Browser from scratch, handle Steam Invites, and implement a "Handshake" system to sync player identities across the network. We are live on Steam, but we are playing alone. In this episode, we tackle the "Two-Step" join process: connecting to a Steam Lobby and then establishing a P2P handshake. We will build a Server Browser that queries the Steam network for available lobbies and allows players to join with a single click. We also dive deep into RPCs (Remote Procedure Calls). We will create an Identity System that assigns every player a unique color and seat at the table using register_player and sync_player_list functions. Finally, we cover how to handle Steam Friend Invites—both when the game is running and when launching from a "Join Game" request.
