I have noticed that as I have been making videos YouTube has been recommending a lot of "great books"/classics type channels. I think that makes sense on some level because the approach to my channel is consistent with one of the ideas behind a "liberal education"—ostensibly also the idea behind "great books" approaches. On the other hand, I feel like the idea of a single set of "great books" established in the early 20th century is inconsistent with the only interpretation of a self-directed liberal education that makes sense.
