Coming back here after 12 long years brought back a flood of memories from when I was here filming for Haider. ❄️🎬 The beauty of these travels is often in the reunions. We found ourselves at the legendary "Hema Malini Shermal House." This isn't just a bakery; it's a testament to the incredible love and hospitality of the Kashmiri people. The way they explained the 50-year-old process of making their signature, biscuit-like shermal was like listening to a piece of history. 🥐✨ What touched me the most wasn't just the food, but the warmth. In a beautiful gesture of the famous Kashmiri hospitality, they even invited me into their home. It’s these moments—the stories shared over fire and flour—that make life so rich.
