I previously showed this off in the Yamaha PS2 adapter review, but that was emulated on the Wii with S-Video. This footage is from the actual cartridge running on composite cables like everyone would've seen it back in 1991. Super Mario World isn't really a standout example of pixel art or anything, but it looks a lot less blocky and simplistic on a consumer CRT than an LCD. With composite out, you can also see some of the dithering patterns (like the hills in Yoshi's Island 1) get blended into a smooth gradient. Others, like the Ghost House background, strangely don't get blended. The main benefit of playing SMW on a CRT comes from the smooth scrolling, which really stands out in the Switch Palaces. It doesn't really pick up on the camera that well, but I assure you it looks amazing on the real deal.
