Atom is an almost 12 year old Australian Kelpie. He now has severe osteo-arthritis in his knuckles on his front feet. This means his feet splay as he walks. Long walks and too much running around are no longer something we can let him do too much of as it causes his feet to go hard and swell and have pain. Mentally Atom is still around 12months old! Apart from the osteo-arthritis in his knuckles, he is still as fit as a fiddle and demanding that he still gets to work and do things! This means..... yep, a new hobby! We have taken up Open Water Swimming, with the local wild swim group - he is absolutely loving it! Took the Go-Pro with us today on our second swim out - have edited out the boring bits like me swimming when he is resting on the SUP board etc so the whole swim isn't shown... but still a fair bit! In his younger years he did many different sports and activities: Agility up to Grade 7 and Championship level in the UK, making some champ finals! Hoopers up to the top level, National Large dog of the year and British Hoopers Large Champion Bikejor - multiple gold medals, a few silver and bronze medals, overall Gold across the Canicross Midlands winter series Dryland Rig racing - only 1 race and we took the bronze medal.
