Lifou Island and Luengoni Beach

‪@Dean_Trips‬' Dean and Isabele visit Lifou Island in the South Pacific (New Caledonia) in May 2025. The Lifou stop is part of a 14 day cruise from Australia to Fiji on the Norwegian Sun. Dean and Isabele take the tender from the ship to the shore which is a dock located in the northwest part of the island (Easo). Dean had read on the internet that Luengoni Beach is beautiful so found a driver to take Isabele and him there. The drive takes about and hour to get there and is worth it to experience a beach with almost no one there. Dean enjoys snorkeling and films a sea turtle. There are some interesting caves close by but Dean and Isabele do not visit them. After returning to the dock near the cruise ship, Dean makes the short hike up to see the Notre Dame de Lourdes Church which has nice views overlooking the bay.
