Bluebird Express is a detachable six-pack bubble chairlift. Installed in 2011 by Leitner-Poma, the Bluebird Express was one of the first bubble chairlifts in the US, and one of the first chairlifts created by Leitner-Poma, after the two companies merged. The Bluebird Express runs from the main base area, up the Main Face, to the summit of the ski area. From the top of the lift, skiers and riders can access most (if not all) of the ski area's terrain. The chairlift runs parallel to (and right next to) the older Grand Summit Express, which serves the same terrain. Bluebird was built in 2011 in order to help the aging Grand Summit Express, which now still runs to relieve the often long lines at the Bluebird Express on busy days. It also fully replaced the old Summit Local Triple chairlift. Mount Snow is a ski area located in West Dover, Vermont, which is located in the Southern portion of the state. Mount Snow is owned by Vail Resorts and is therefore on the Epic Pass. Since it is the closest ski area in Vermont to Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York City, Mount Snow is a very popular ski area, and can therefore often be quite busy. Mount Snow is known for being mostly intermediate groomers, which fill up the Main Face of the mountain, but it also has a nice variety of steeper trails on the North Face of the mountain, and has some of the largest terrain parks in New England, dedicating a whole area of the mountain to terrain parks, called Carinthia. In the summer, Mount Snow is home to scenic lift rides and mountain biking.
