Allow us to introduce: Elevator music In 2019 we started renovating the new space in Jægergårdsgade, Aarhus. Back then we found an old elevator that had been bricked for several years. We think it had so much mojo, but no idea what to use it for. But now we know! The series is called Elevatormusik (Elevator Music) and the concept is simple; Introduce some of the amazing artists who comes by Akustikken - with a basic setup, live from the elevator. Born in Detroit, raised in Copenhagen, authentic like few and a thoroughly good guy. Since we decided to record live sessions in the retired butcher's elevator, J.Tex has been high on the wish list. So when the sun and moon aligned last week, we jumped at the chance. With him in the lift is Ida Hvid on double bass and Thyge van Dassen on violin.
