What kind of idiots are in charge here? This is what every trail user sees when they pass by this pigpen! This was shot 2 days after a stadium event and there are still full bins of trash that the wind can blow trash out of. It seems that the stadium only has trash pickup some time on Wednesday, so this trash sits here from Sun. to Wed. And this same week, there's a Thu. night NFL game here, so that trash will sit out for a full week! The stadium was asked in the EIR to erect fine mesh fencing around the entire site to keep wind blown trash from escaping. They chose not to do that saying a no littering sign and some trash cans would suffice, NOT! It's these very trash cans that are overfilled, and left out in the wind for days on end that are a major source of trash getting into the creek! If you see litter from the stadium in San Tomas Aquino Creek, please call the water district and report it: http://www.valleywater.org/Services/P... tel:1-888-510-5151 The stadium EIR: http://santaclaraca.gov/about/levi-s-... "Impact LU-4: Trash and litter will be managed by immediate collection before it becomes windblown and will be disposed or recycled in conformance with City requirements." FAIL, the stadium is flagrantly violating the EIR. Why isn't the city our here enforcing those provisions? Seeing as the wind blows here almost every day, picking up in the early afternoon, as can been seen on the Weather Underground site:: https://www.wunderground.com/us/ca/al... Trash must be "collected" prior to the arrival of the wind as this is the only way to prevent it from becoming wind blown! After the last Thursday night NFL game (10/6/16), the trash was not picked up until Wednesday (10/12/16) afternoon, 7 full days later! In the next video, we can see the trash in the creek ready to get washed out to SF Bay: • Levi’s® Stadium Trash Headed for San Franc... And please share this video with anyone you know that works for the stadium operating company, 49ers, the Santa Clara Valley Water district, the city of Santa Clara, or anyone else you know that might be able to do something about this!
