The Kansas Early Childhood Recommendations Panel (Panel) will meet on Friday, December 19 at 9:00 am via Zoom. Panel meetings will be available for public viewing via YouTube. Live captions are available. As a reminder, the Panel was established as part of Executive Order 20-02 (https://governor.kansas.gov/wp-conten...) and its primary function is to make recommendations on a range of early childhood care and education issues, and provide guidance to the Children's Cabinet and Trust Fund. The Panel plays a key role in supporting implementation of the All in for Kansas Kids Strategic Plan (https://kschildrenscabinet.org/all-in...) and helps elevate considerations from communities and stakeholders to ensure every child thrives. Please visit the Panel page (https://kschildrenscabinet.org/early-...) on the Children's Cabinet website for updates and meeting information. The Panel is meeting remotely today by Zoom meeting. Members, staff, and conferees making presentations before the committee are participating in a Zoom meeting. Due to health and safety concerns, members of the public are not in attendance, but full access of this meeting allows members of the public without cost to listen through the use of livestream broadcasting on the Internet. The YouTube video livestream of this meeting can be reached by visiting the Kansas Children's Cabinet and Trust Fund website. The agenda for this meeting has been posted on the Children's Cabinet website, and any other documents presented during this meeting will be available at that website by clicking the "About" tab, selecting "Early Childhood Recommendations Panel," and selecting "Meetings". All participants will state their name each time the individual begins speaking or voting so that the individual can be readily identified by remote listeners. All participants are required to ensure that microphones, phones, or other electronic devices are muted when the participants are not speaking so that the ability of remote listeners or viewers to hear the proceedings is not unnecessarily impeded. The person who has the floor to speak should not have background noise. Panel members, if you cannot clearly hear the speaker, please notify the host through the chat function. This chat function will communicate only with the meeting host, who will communicate with the chair. The chat feature will not communicate with the rest of the Panel.
